SOS Wash & Care Guide

Our garments are made with natural materials and eco-friendly dyes. Everything in our collection is crafted with longevity in mind and being kind to your garment ensures that.

Here’s a little guide on how you can wash your naturally dyed organics and knitted organic cottons.

Naturally Dyed Organic Cottons :

  • Hand wash your item with pH neutral soap / eco-friendly detergent and cool or lukewarm water.
  • Wash with like colors preferably.
  • Air dry in shade. Be mindful of the sun.

Knitted Organic Cottons :

  • Cotton Knitwear can be machine or hand washed.
  • To prevent garments from shrinking and to keep them looking their best, gentle cycle & cold water is most advisable.
  • Wash with like colors preferably.
  • Lay flat to dry, this also saves energy!

Other questions :

What is a pH neutral soap?

pH neutral soap aka mild soap or delicate detergent.
Majority of natural dyes are sensitive to pH (acids and alkaline) that changes the color slightly or more.

No bleach? & What about dry-clean?

Bleach is nasty. On top of harming ourselves, our animal friends and naturally dyed fabrics, bleach can seriously impact the environment and our ecosystem.

We don’t recommend dry-clean as they use harsh chemicals in the process. The whole process is not very planet friendly and can possibly destroy natural dyes.

Be kind to the garment, the planet and yourself.
Appreciate the aging process.
Reuse our cotton garment bag to protect the garments and recycle the shipping box.
